About the Speaker
Luis E. Coronado Guel, Ph.D., is the Director of SBS Mexico Initiatives and an Adjunct Professor in the Departments of History and Mexican American Studies at the University of Arizona. Dr. Coronado Guel’s work spans the cultural and intellectual history of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Mexico—focusing on nation-building, patriotic tradition, public rituals, and the interplay of media, law, and heritage.
